Richard Adler and Jerry Ross’ melodies contain “Hey, There.” Dancer Haney stands out in her “Mist Heat” characteristic and in the lively “Once a Year Night” barbeque number. Cast includes Doris Day, John Raitt, Carol Haney, Eddie Foy, Jr., Barbara Nichols, and Reta Shaw. (101 minutes, 1957)
MacArthur: Intense, look at the legend of the elaborate militiary chief throughout WW2 and Korean Battle. Peck is phenomenal although film doesn’t hold the punch of Patton. Cast includes Gregory Peck, Dan O’Herlihy, Ed Flanders, Sandy Kenyon, Dick O’Neill, and Craft Fleming. (130 minutes, 1977)
Season of Passion: Classy research of human being relations; MIlls and Borgnine are country workers who each year makes a trip to the city for their fling with Baxter and Lansbury. Cast includes Anne Baxter, John MiIls, Angela Lansbury, Ernest Borgnine, and Janette Craig. (93 minutes, 1959)
The Good Humor Man: Wide dry comedy in reference to ice cream dealer Cars On, who runs into a crime syndacate. Cast includes Jack Carson, Lola Albright, Jean Wallace, George Reeves, and Richard Egan. (79 minutes, 1950)
The Slave: Interminable Italian spectacle. Child of Spartacus comprehends tale of his dad and promises retribution. The excellent photography is the only positive holding. Cast includes Steve Reeves, Jacques Semas, Gianna Maria Canale, and Claudio Gora. (102 minutes, 1963)
Strange Interlude: Talky Eugene O’Neill play gets to be marathon of central opinions exposed only to spectators in journal of Gable, Shearer. It is about growing old without settling their complications. This is a preoccupying film, with Shearer at her brilliant best. Cast includes Norma Shearer, Clark Gable, Might Robson, Maureen O’Sullivan, Robert Youthful, Ralph Morgan, Henry B. Walthall, and Alexander Kirkland. (110 minutes, 1932)
The Music Man: Peerless Preston reprises his Broadway role as a terrific sales associate con guy Prof. Harold Hil who captivates Iowa town with visions of uniformed marching band. One Woman or Two: Paleontologist Depardieu finds the fossil thought to be of the first Frenchwoman. Crass advert exec Weaver is planning on capitalizing on this to sell fragrance. Cast includes Gerard Depardieu, Sigourney Weaver, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Michel Aurnont, and Zabou. (97 minutes, 1985)
