Sky are providing a free Sky Plus digibox to all new consumers taking up a TV package and signing up to free internet and phone calls. You can place your order for your free sky+ digibox today. Sky Plus is Sky’s TV box which has included recording facilities. There is also a slightly more costly Sky+ HD digibox available, but this is not available on the free set top box deal. When placing an order for your free Sky+ set top box, it’s important to know if you want to take advantage of internet and home phone options – more detail follows.
Sky Broadband
Sky offer new customers several versions of Sky Broadband:
- Sky Broadband Base
With speeds up to 2 megabits per second, this is the lowest Sky Broadband deal. It is available at no cost to customers taking up Sky Talk as part of their Sky deal, or £5 otherwise. Remember Sky Talk is free for off peak calls, so it makes sense to take the call plan for the reduced Broadband cost. There is a maximum transfer limit on Sky Internet Base of 2Gb per month.
- Sky Internet Mid
This version is for customers wanting a little more from their Internet connections, perhaps for watching the odd film clip or downloading audio frequently. Limited to EightMb a second, with a 40Gb transfer limit, this is a common choice and one of the reasons for Sky’s Broadband success. Weighing in at just £5 a month for Sky Phone customers (or £10 if you don’t include Sky Phone in your package), its one of the cheapest Internet options on the market for the connection speed.
- Sky Internet Max
At the time of posting, we aren’t aware of any other entirely uncapped Internet service at £10 a month (£15 if you don’t take Sky Talk). Providing up to SixteenMb connections, it’s likely that the only limitation will be what your land line can handle!
Free phone calls with Sky Talk
There are a couple of phone options on offer from Sky Phone, FreeTime and Unlimited:
- Sky Talk Freetime
Freetime is free evening and weekend calls to landlines, and is free to get.
- Sky Talk Unlimited
